About Us


The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society is an all-volunteer research and investigation organization. The group was founded in 1998 by Steve Anderson and Henry Benton. From 1998 until 2016, PBS was looked at as the premier research organization in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2016, looking to re-energize, PBS merged with the Keystone Bigfoot Project, led by PBS member Sean Forker.  In 2020, the Keystone Bigfoot Project returned to its roots as a research project, not a formal investigative agency. 

In mid-2020, discussions began to take place with former members of PBS to relaunch the organization to fill the need for a research group. It was then decided to reform and reorganize the organization. With a new leadership council and steady guidance, the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society is ready to investigate this Keystone State phenomenon. 

Membership consists of individuals with diverse skill sets, experiences, and occupations. Our current membership consists of current and ex-law enforcement, military, scientists, private investigators, paramedics, first responders, hunters, fishermen, hikers, and outdoors people.

The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society leadership and its members are available to you 24/7 to report your incidents, sightings, and encounters.   If you have had an experience you wish to share with us, you may file a report on our sightings page or reach out to us on our Contact Us page, and a member of the group will respond as quickly as possible.

Our Mission Statement

To objectively investigate, research, and collect data on the Bigfoot phenomenon in Pennsylvania. We collect data from sighting reports, encounters, and field expeditions using the latest technology available.

Eric Altman
Executive Director

Eric H. Altman is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society.  Eric was the past director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society from 2000 to 2016.

​Eric is a field investigator and researcher with over 23 years of experience.  Eric is also a podcast host, co-host, event organizer, and member of several paranormal research groups. 
Communications & Media

Sean Forker
Communications Director

Sean Forker is the Communications Director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society.  Sean is a long-time member of the Society and is also the founder of the Keystone Bigfoot Project.  He is also the host of numerous podcasts on Bigfoot and other strange topics. 

A field investigator for over 20 years, Sean is committed to the search for Bigfoot in the Commonwealth.

Joe Biello
Investigations Director

Joe is the Investigations Director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society and a long-time member. Joe is an avid outdoorsman and angler. 

 Joe has over 25 years of field and research experience. 
In Memoriam • Director Emeritus

David P. Dragosin
Director Emeritus

Dave P. Dragosin, or “Big Daddy,” as he was known to many people, was the former Director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society Western Sector and was the Keystone Bigfoot Project Director Emeritus & PR Consultant, researching and investigating reported sightings of Sasquatch/Bigfoot.

He was a forensic artist and had drawn extensive renderings of the sightings that have been reported in the Southwestern Pennsylvania area. Though David is no longer with us, he remains with us in spirit, and he has been given the title of Director Emeritus of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society.
